If I’m honking at you when you’re obviously the one in the wrong, such as running a red light to turn left, from a stop, and in doing so you use up part of my advance left turn arrow, you don’t get to honk back. The one doing the red light running is indisputably the asshole in the situation, not me, getting cut off.
More generally, if someone does something really obviously wrong, and then honks back after they got honked at. That really bothers me. I’m trying pretty hard to shrug off everything traffic-related that bothers me, there’s nothing constructive or positive about just getting mad and letting it ruin part of your day. But that shit gets to me.
My friends E30 for your time

Honk back at me, and I just lay on the horn. Especially good when I am in the fintail, as mine is guaranteed to be far louder.
Honking back is an admission of guilt.

Honking back when they’re wrong sends me into the biggest fit of rage. Which typically ends in me giving my horn a *really* good workout.

I 100% agree...
...but I get it as a reflex. I’ve been known to honk back either after being startled (like HOLY SHIT I HAD NO IDEA THERE WAS ANOTHER CAR THERE AND I PEED MYSELF),because I knew I was in the wrong but was attempting to correct, or because fuck you too. Usually for former or the latter.
Doesn’t make it right, but that is my thinking as to why.

Yes, that’s the worst, or flipping me off after I honk for their suicidally idiotic move. God I hate driving in traffic.

I get the finger back when I honk at them. Guy cuts me off, I honk, I get the finger. Car doesn’t do its stop, I honk then once again I get the finger. Asshole run red light, i honk, and yet again I get the finger. And they say Canadians are polite.....

You don’t understand the mindset of the asshole doing the cutting off. They just want to do whatever they want, whenever they want. To them you *are* the asshole for simply existing and interfering with their ability to ignore all the rules and do whatever they like. How dare you call them out for their unsafe and rude behavior!

I get the finger when I pass people when they’re going under the speed limit. Recently got the finger from the guy in oncoming traffic after I had passed someone which really confused me.
